Editorial policy
Trusted Conversation aims to make clear, careful writing about the craft of conversation. We distinguish explanation from opinion, avoid presenting one style of talk as right for every setting and correct material errors openly.
Accuracy and clarity
Writers should check names, dates and other factual details against suitable sources and make uncertainty visible where it matters. Articles should define terms that could be read in more than one way, separate examples from general claims and avoid implying that an anecdote proves a broad rule. We do not claim research or first-hand reporting that has not taken place.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not to secure a commercial arrangement. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled as such, kept distinct from independent editorial work and described in plain language. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or a particular editorial conclusion.
Corrections
Readers can send a correction through the Contact page. We review the concern, check the relevant detail and amend an article when a factual error is confirmed. When a change materially affects the meaning of a published piece, we make the correction clear in the article rather than silently changing its sense.
Illustrations and tools
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Where this applies, the illustration is identified accordingly. Illustrations are used to support the subject, not as evidence of an event or as a substitute for factual reporting.
Trust grows through the way we talk
A conversation is not a performance to win. It is a shared effort to understand what is being said, what remains unclear and what might be worth asking next.
